How to navigate and find the right key / scale How do you go from playing you're entire solo in on key only, to being able to go from key to key several times? Even though you're not a Jazz or Fusion player this skill is really amazing to have. And who knows, maybe you'll be one of the first people to introduce many key changes in rock or pop music? Here's a quick list of points from the video:
- You use the notes on the two lowest strings to navigate with
- The five traditional diatonic scale shapes are really great to navigate with
You practice navigation in two ways: - You use one scale shape to navigate through all keys, moving the shape around
- You then use all 5 scale shapes to navigate through all keys while you stay in the same position on the neck
